1,500 families participate in the Aquona digital invoice campaign in favor of the Food Bank
The company that manages the integral water cycle in more than 60 municipalities of Castilla y León closes its campaign with a visit to the Spanish Federation of Food Banks of Castilla y León (FEBACYL).
Helping people and contributing to caring for the environment was the objective of the 'Digital Invoice' campaign that Aquona launched in June 2021 and which ended on December 31.
The company that manages the water cycle in more than 60 Castilian and Leonese municipalities encouraged its clients to carry out 'a solidarity and sustainable gesture', in such a way that, for each new registration in the digital invoice service, the company would donate 1 euros to the Spanish Federation of Food Banks of Castilla y León (FEBACYL).
The participation of 1,500 families who have registered for this service has made it possible for Aquona to donate 1,500 euros to FEBACYL to help support people in vulnerable situations.
The delivery took place this morning during a visit to the FEBACYL facilities led by the president of the Food Bank of Valladolid on behalf of FEBACYL, Jesús Mediavilla, and in which the director of Aquona, Jesús García del Valle, and the director of Sustainable Development of Aquona, Laura de Vega.
From FEBACYL, Jesús Mediavilla thanked Aquona for "its solidarity" and highlighted that, thanks to collaborations like this one, "the Food Banks of Castilla y León can buy food for the more than 70,000 people" that they are currently serving. In the same way, Mediavilla has emphasized the importance of having solidarity companies that "give back to society what society is giving them".
For his part, Jesús García del Valle highlighted the "great social work" that this institution carries out in favor of all those in need and also thanked the 1,500 people who have participated in the campaign "helping to preserve the environment and help the most vulnerable groups”.
In the coming weeks, FEBACYL and Aquona will sign an agreement through which the company will become a 'Solidarity Company', with the purpose of giving continuity to all the actions resulting from the alliance that the Food Banks of the autonomous community and Aquona maintain for years.
