Aquona hosts the exhibition on the work of UNICEF to implement the 2030 Agenda
During the month of June, Aquona will host an exhibition on the Sustainable Development Goals and the work of UNICEF to implement the 2030 Agenda in the world and in Spain at its offices in Cuéllar, León and Zamora.
The exhibition tells, through panels, what the Sustainable Development Goals are, why the 2030 Agenda exists, who has the obligation to implement it, how can we work in Spain and in our autonomous community to ensure that the SDGs are met, or how it affects childhood among others.
The 2030 Sustainable Development Agenda, adopted in 2015 by 193 countries, establishes 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) that the international community must reach for all people, doing so in a sustainable and equitable manner.
The Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) promote the rights of children and represent an opportunity to protect all children under the slogan of not leaving anyone behind. Therefore, the SDGs also represent an opportunity for Spain and for our Autonomous Community, Castilla y León.
Ensuring the welfare of children is an essential condition for fulfilling the 2030 Agenda. And making the SDGs a reality is a commitment to a social and political model that puts children at the center, especially the most vulnerable.
About UNICEF
UNICEF promotes the rights and well-being of all children in everything we do. Together with our partners, we work in 190 countries and territories to transform this commitment into practical actions, focusing especially our efforts on reaching the most vulnerable and excluded children for the benefit of all children, everywhere.
