Aquona, among the SUEZ companies recognised by Fraternidad-Muprespa mutual insurance company for a low workplace accident rate

• Fraternidad-Muprespa highlights that SUEZ, the group that Aquona belongs to, is the only group in the sector that 'maintains systematic growth in this area'.

SUEZ Spain has received the Bonus certificate from Fraternidad-Muprespa, a mutual insurance company that collaborates with social security, for its commitment to the health and safety of company employees and the prevention of occupational hazards. The Group, which leads companies in the sector in this area, was recognised for the low accident rate in several of its companies, Aquona being among them.
Upon receiving the award in Madrid, Carlos Aranda, Chairman of Fraternidad-Muprespa, recognised the company's interest in combating workplace accidents: 'This recognition shows SUEZ's special sensitivity to the prevention of occupational hazards. In fact, it is the only company in the sector that maintains systematic growth in this area'.
Asunción Martínez, director of Concessions at SUEZ Spain, explained that a commitment to occupational health and safety is one of the Group's priorities: 'It is a commitment that we have internalised; what is more, it holds an important place in the company's strategic plan, to continue to improve indicators'.

Others from Fraternidad-Muprespa who were at the presentation of the award were Natalia Fernández Laviada, Deputy Chairman for Prevention, Quality and Communication, and Eduardo Sanz, regional manager for the Meseta Sur. From SUEZ Spain, the event was attended by Josep Maria Verdejo, director of Health and Safety and Management Systems, and Nuria Catalá, head of Health and Safety in the area of Concessions.
In the last decade, SUEZ has reduced by a sixth the accidents of its employees: this figure puts SUEZ at the head of water sector companies in this field. The promotion of new technologies and digitalisation of systems is contributing to the company's position at the cutting edge of advances in occupational health and safety.
