Aquona will manage the municipal water and sanitation service in Lerma (Burgos) until October 2028

Lerma Town Council renews its trust in Aquona for 10 years

Lerma Town Council confirms its trust in Aquona for a further 10 years by awarding the company the tender for management of the water supply, sewer system and water treatment services for the municipality of Lerma.

At the plenary session of Lerma Town Council on 27 April 2017, municipal representatives unanimously agreed to award the licence for managing the water supply, sewer system and water treatment services to Aquona.

The mayor of Lerma (or Villa Ducal de Lerma, as it is also known), Celia Izquierdo Arroyo, and the director of Concessions at Aquona, Jesús García del Valle, signed the contract in the Lerma Town Hall. Consequently, a service that has been provided over the last 20 years will continue. Villa Ducal de Lerma is a municipality in the province of Burgos with over 2,500 inhabitants.
With the award of this tender, Aquona will complete a period of 30 years of water management in the municipality, which began in January 1998.

Due to this new contract, Aquona will maintain its leading position in the management of water in Castile and León.
