Aquona subsidizes 5,000 euros to five associations of the city, within the Water, Health and Childhood program

Red Cross, Autism Zamora, AZDEM (multiple sclerosis), Trascampus and the AECC in Zamora are the five associations that will receive the economic aid derived from the agreement of Aquona 'Water, Health and Infancy'

Autism associations Zamora, Trascampus, Multiple Sclerosis and Red Cross and the Spanish Association of Fight against Cancer in Zamora have been the beneficiaries of the grants we provide, with the collaboration of the Department of Social Services of the City. Subsidies that amount together to 5,000 euros distributed among the five beneficiary associations with which they can finance up to 70% of the cost of the selected projects.
The granting of aid has materialized today through the signing of the corresponding collaboration agreement signed in the plenary hall of the City Council by the mayor of Zamora, Francisco Guarido, the General Director of Aquona, Jesus Garcia del Valle, and representatives of each of these beneficiary associations. The Councilor for Social Services, Inmaculada Lucas, the manager of Zamora, Nicolás Esmoris, and other members of the associations were also present at the event.

The project "Water, Health and Childhood" is part of the social promotion activity that we carried out in Zamora, with the support of different initiatives and social and sports entities of the city, and whose specific objective is to contribute to the social development of children and young people who need support or suffer from different diseases. The purpose is to contribute to the creation of a more united society that gives opportunities to the people who need it the most, through different social projects and initiatives carried out by social and non-profit associations of the city.
To this end, a public call was formalized in the middle of last December, to which all the associations and entities of social character of the capital could present their proposals, which promote actions and assistance, health, scientific and leisure activities aimed at improving the quality of life of people in the field of health.

The mayor of Zamora highlighted the work carried out by these associations in favor of certain social groups and that now has the recognition of Aquona and the City Council "so that they continue to carry out these activities within the society of Zamora." Guarido also thanked the concessionaire of the water supply of the capital for its collaboration in this and other social initiatives, such as sports aid or subsidy in the receipt of water for families in need, and put it as an example of corporate social responsibility of the company and public-private collaboration for the benefit of the city.

For his part, the General Director of Aquona, highlighted the link with Zamora, of which this year marks the 50th anniversary since its constitution as a society for the management of the water supply service to the city.
