Participate in ‘Get wet for the SDGs’, Aquona’s new video contest to contribute to the Sustainable Development Goals

The initiative is aimed at the general public, associations, schools and employees of the municipalities in which the company is present. The deadline for submitting videos begins today and will run until April 30

Record a one-minute video explaining how you contribute to achieving the UN Sustainable Development Goals is all you have to do to participate in the new video contest that Aquona has organized in collaboration with others societies of the Suez group of which it is part.
‘Get wet by the SDGs’ wants to go beyond publicizing the Sustainable Development Goals. “Our ambition is to involve schoolchildren, associations and the general public to join and be part of the solution to the great global challenges such as climate change, social and gender inequality, loss of biodiversity and, of course, scarcity. of water ”, explains Laura de Vega, director of Sustainable Development of Aquona. "Thinking globally, but acting locally, each one from its scope, with concrete commitments," he adds.

At least one of those commitments that are reflected in the videos must be linked to water care and, therefore, to the contribution to SDG number 6 ‘Clean water and sanitation’. Ultimately, the goal is to "encourage society to move from awareness to action to build a better future among all," says De Vega.

That call to action that Aquona makes in the city councils of the cities and municipalities of Castilla-La Mancha and Castilla y León in which it is present is addressed to neighbors, educational centers and local associations to the company's own workers.
The deadline to prepare and send the videos to the email address aquona@aquona-sa.es begins on February 21 and ends on April 30. Once the deadline is over, Aquona will upload the videos to the contest's YouTube channel to begin with the voting period that will cover from May 18 to June 5. The same day the winners of the contest will be announced coinciding with the celebration of World Environment Day.
